Alaska Naturalist

As a part of the Yacht guiding experience, A Taste Of Adventure LLC, offers knowledge as an Alaska Naturalist. In addition to over 20 years of outdoors experience in Alaska, your guide is certified by the University of Southeast Alaska as an Alaska Naturalist. Your guide is also an outdoor survival enthusiast and general student of the outdoors. We look forward to sharing the joys and challenges of our northern temperate Rain Forest.

Species Identification

While on board, your guide/naturalist will be available to answer questions and identify species of all types. A well as provide information regarding the geology, history of Alaska.

Guided excursions

Guided land excursions will be available whenever you like. As long as conditions are safe, we can take you, exploring, hiking or camping in the Alaska wilderness. All levels of experience and comfort will happily be accommodated. Your guide will have knowledge and experience with a variety of probable options to quench your thirst for exploration. From rocky mountain faces, to well groomed trails and boardwalks, leave it to us to find ways you can explore at your own comfort level.

Laws and Permits

No one wants to spoil a great trip with a fine or unpleasant legal issue. Operating as a naturalist, your yacht guide understands the intricacies and logistics involved with wildlife interaction in Alaska. We will help you secure permits to view bears in special areas as well as keep a safe legal distance from whales and other sensitive species.
